Evaluating my first year on YouTube is the video I wasn’t sure I would ever do. I can’t believe that I have been on this plattform for just over a year now. In this video I take a look at how this project started, the steps I took to prepare and start my YouTube channel, and how I feel about the future. I will take a look at the initial plans I wrote back in November 2018, and compare to what happened in reality. I will share my thoughts about what I could/should have done differently and what I have learned, and I will share my two cents about what I think is important to think about if you want to start a YouTube channel. I will also share my plans for the future of my channel, or rather my channels, and what my dreams are.
I am very happy with the decision I made to cut down to two scripted videos per week. It has taken a lot of stress off, and even if it takes some time to prepare for my live streams over on Pixelpia Live I am sure that will be less work on that end, as soon as I get more used to the format.
I have already started to catch up and I hope I soon will be at the point that I have six videos scheduled at all time, but even if I don’t get back to that, it feels more relaxed to just do two videos a week.
I am still toying in my mind with the thoughts about creating tutorials, but I have decided to put that on ice, at least until I get a new and faster computer, which I hope will be soon.
It was very interesting to make today’s video and realize how much my understanding of YouTube, and what I thought it would be like, have changed during the year. And to look at how my skills has grown is so fun. Imagine that just over a year ago I have never filmed or edited anything. And as I said in my video, I would never have thought that YouTube would bring me so many great friends. The community is fantastic, and if you take the time to get to know people the support you will receive so much encouragement and support.
So till today’s video, I have included clips from my very first video, and from my 3 month video so be prepared.
I hope you will like this, and if so give it a thumb up, subscribe and hit the bell.
On Monday, the video will be about BYOD, and if you don’t know what that is I suggest you come and watch. In tomorrows live stream at Pixelpia Live I will talk about why I am still on the platform and hopefully we can talk about everything that is good with YouTube.
