AI Possibility or Problem?

A woman with short gray hair and glasses sits at a desk with a coffee cup, looking thoughtfully at her computer in soft morning light.

Sometimes I sit down with my morning coffee, open a new page, and wonder: am I building something meaningful with AI, or just keeping busy?

I love the sense of possibility. A question pops into my mind, and suddenly I’m in a conversation with an idea. A half-formed thought becomes a prompt, then an image, then a blog post draft. There’s a kind of magic in that—a gentle spark that feels familiar to anyone who’s ever followed a curiosity just to see where it leads.

But the unease is never far behind. I’ve lived through enough digital revolutions to know that tools don’t come without consequences. Am I relying too much on something I don’t fully understand? Are we creating faster than we can reflect? Is convenience slowly replacing craftsmanship?

Some days I think AI expands my creativity. Other days, I wonder if it’s just making me better at avoiding the hard parts.

I don’t have a tidy answer. But I think that’s the point. Possibility and problem often travel together. And maybe the most important thing isn’t choosing sides, but staying present with the questions.

That’s where I am this Monday—somewhere between wonder and worry, trying to stay curious.

A sunlit path winds into the trees at sunset, inviting a sense of reflection and quiet possibility.
