Do the use of AI make you less creative?

A woman in a grey sweater sits at a desk surrounded by notebooks, folders, and a laptop, resting her chin on her hand and gazing upward with a thoughtful expression. Soft natural light fills the room, giving the scene a quiet, reflective mood.

That’s the question I’ve been circling around this week.

At first glance, it feels like the answer should be yes-after all, if a tool can generate ideas, images, or even whole paragraphs, isn’t it replacing something we used to make ourselves? But the more sit with it, the less certain am. When work with Al, don’t feel less creative. feel… different.

My role shifts from making everything by hand to shaping, questioning, and remixing. It’s not always comfortable. Sometimes it even feels like cheating. And yet, I keep returning to it because the process sparks something in me that wouldn’t have appeared otherwise.

So maybe the better question is this: does using change the way we experience creativity? think it does-and that’s worth paying attention to.
