I keep thinking about how often we look for inspiration by looking for something completely new.
A new idea. A new project. A new direction.
But what if the thing we need is already there?
Not finished. Not obvious. Just sitting in two different places.
Maybe one project taught you something you loved doing, but it had nowhere else to go. Maybe another idea has been hanging around for years because you never quite found the right form for it.
And then one day they meet.
I have had that feeling recently.
Two things I have worked with before, in very different ways, suddenly started to make sense together. Neither one is new. What feels new is the combination.
That makes me wonder how many ideas we abandon because we think they have to become something on their own.
Maybe they were never meant to.
Maybe an unfinished idea is not always unfinished.
Maybe it is waiting for something else to arrive.
So this is what is on my mind today:
What if the project you need is hiding between two projects you already have?
